To achieve improved size tolerance, surface quality and mechanical properties, cold drawn process is applied on hot rolled products. For production efficiency, small sizes are usually produced from wire rod whereas bigger sizes are usually produced from hot rolled bar products.
The first step of cold drawn process is shot blasting where surface scales on hot rolled products are removed using iron particles. The shot blasted hot rolled products then pass through cold drawing die to get their final size. Depending on the steel grade of the product, it is common to apply some kind of heat treatment on hot rolled products before cold drawing.

Our cold drawn production facility consists of wire to bar and bar to bar cold drawn lines for round, square, flat and hexagonal products in both mm and inch sizes. Thanks to descaler at out rolling mill, we can achieve superior surface quality on our cold drawn bar products. Besides, round, square and hexagonal, we can also offer non standard cold drawn flat sizes thanks to our adjustable die.
